BLI names head of asset management

Banque de Luxembourg Investments (BLI), the asset management company of Banque de Luxembourg, has appointed Marc Erpelding as its asset management head, taking over from Guy Wagner as he concentrates on his chief investment officer role.

Erpelding will oversee and develop BLI’s management teams across equities, bonds and multi-management. He joined Banque de Luxembourg in 2002 and helped build its emerging markets equities capability. He will continue to contribute to these strategies, now alongside Raphaël Fürst, who becomes co-manager.

BLI has also appointed Quentin Gaget as chief operating officer.

Gaget, who joined the bank in 2017, steps into the COO role with a remit focused on collaboration, innovation and data enhancement as BLI adapts to ongoing technological and operational change. His background spans financial markets, balance sheet management and regulatory reporting, and he most recently served as head of multi-asset trading. Wagner will continue to run the BL Global Flexible EUR fund alongside other mandates.

“He will be a key point of contact within BLI and for its various stakeholders,” said Fanny Nosetti-Perrot, CEO of BLI – Banque de Luxembourg Investments. “Working with the Executive Committee and the management teams, he will ensure the sustainability, credibility and robustness of BLI’s management methodology. His personality, motivation and knowledge of the financial markets will be a major asset for the future success of BLI and Banque de Luxembourg.”

Fanny Nosetti-Perrot added: “We congratulate Marc and Quentin on their new responsibilities and are delighted to be able to count on their professionalism and commitment to meet BLI’s challenges, exploit opportunities and support our customers and partners.
